Deck Board Straightening Tool

Bring a bowed deck board into line before fastening. This manual straightening tool combines an offset lever handle, a black cam wheel and adjustable joist-positioning posts to help position the board during deck assembly.

How to use

1. Adjust the fit: with the tool unloaded, adjust the positioning posts to suit the joist and secure the adjustment.
2. Seat the tool: position the posts on opposite sides of the joist and bring the cam against the board edge. Check that the anchor and board contact are stable.
3. Align and fasten: rotate the handle gradually to bring the board into the required position. Check the specified board gap, secure the board using the decking manufacturer's fastening method, then release the lever gradually and move the tool.

For compatible deck-board and joist setups. Confirm that the board profile and decking manufacturer's instructions permit this type of positioning tool. Boards, spacers, fasteners and power tools are sold separately.
